I flew First from Denver to Salt Lake last week. I usually fly American or the new United. Delta just had a cheap fare in F and I could avoid a UA CRJ 200. It was My first time on Delta. I thought the FA did agreat job for a short flight! The Denver check in was smooth but not overly friendly.
When I got to SLC I went to baggage claim and stood at claim number 7 for an hour. Other people on this flight stood theretoo. I checked the monitors to double check where the bags were coming to arrive and it said 7 the whole time. I saw a flight from Atlanta come in and still no Denver bags.
I had people asking me if I new anything. There was no announcement or Delta representative to help. I walked over to the baggage office thinking my bag might be lost. In the office the delay employee said go to bag claim6 . I told her I had stood for an hour waiting for my bags with 25other people as their signs said 7. She kind of laughed and said no it is six.
She did not believe me. I said I will back with a picture. I did come back and she was surprised. I asked if she was going to make an annoucmt to tell other people of the change. She said there is nothing she can do. It was disgusting to see the lack of customer service. wWhy does delta not update bagge claim boards so people are to mislead and stand around wasting time thinking their bags will come?
I told her fine that I would tell the other 25 people then to come here and ask for their lost bags.
The moment I did this she walked over and made a announcement telling people to go to claim 6. I was not impressed by this delta attitude in their SLChub. I may try Delta again, but will only do so if it is a last resort. Delta needs more honest employees who work to update and inform their customers. I am surprised they do not have anyone walking around the baggage claim area to offer help.
