My company doesn't allow purchase of FC tickets (even for execs). I'm going to be on a cross country flight where the coach price is $1400 and the FC price is $1600. I'm more than willing to fork over $200 of my own $ to upgrade it. I asked accounting if I could buy the more expensive and show them the screen print or something of the less expensive and only be reimbrused for that and they flat out said no.
So the question is, is it possible to buy a ticket, then go back in and pay the difference for the higher fare? Or am I going to get hit with a change fee to do that? I'm sure I'm not the only one to run into this problem, are there any other strategies to get this done?
btw, I have no status on any of the airlines, I don't fly that frequently anymore.
