I want to add a second carrier to my miles program. I am currently on United, and I figure Delta might be worth a shot, but before I apply for credit cards and things of the sort, I wanted to see if I could actually book something. It didnt go well, but perhaps I didnt do something right.
Via Air France (was told to go through that website and not Delta) I tried to book Charlotte to Delhi, India. It didnt work, but JFK to DEL worked. Lots of lower mileage flights...but they wanted an extra $350 per leg...whats that about?!?!
I then tried JFK to Hanoi, and found nothing even though AF flies there.
Anyone here know why the hypothetical booking to Hanoi failed, why the JFK to India flight would cost $350 each way, and why it didnt let me book from Charlotte to some other place?
