We booked our tickets to LHR a few months ago to visit our son who is newly stationed there. Then we get the dreaded call saying he is being deployed the day after we get there. I called into the re-issue department and the lady spent over an hour trying to find a week earlier flight around the same price. Luckily she did and booked us right away. I am happy that Delta works with their customers to try and help them out.
