Long Story Short, DL268, Used SWU to upgrade, was waitlisted, after check-in i appear the only person in the upgrade list and as no. 1 (obviously).
After few 10s of minutes, someone joins the list as no. 2, Lets say his name appear as XXX.
Boarding time, No Upgrades approved for anyone, waiting in line for boarding,
The guy in front of me in the line, give his ticket, its being scanned, and beeped, Agent says Mr. YYY please wait, and comeback with an upgrade ticket.
YYY is not XXX....
I give my ticket, no beeps, going straight to my middle sit in economy comfort,
flight is being delayed, i already started to sleep in my middle seat, And i see FA come to ask someone to come and join her with his stuff (i would assume, he was moved to business)... After 5 minutes, my name is paged, went to the FA and i was told i am being upgraded to Business...
So how from #1 in the list, I am being upgraded last, and on the plane, while i am sure the guy in front of me which was upgraded was not no. 2???

You really test how your airline is good when you need it, I was boarding this flight with a sensitive electronic equipment, which fits only 24" trolley, Talking to diamond desk, they approved me i would be able to do it, Getting to the airport, it was hard at the beginning (As diamond desk didnt put a comment in the PNR) but as soon as the Red Coat came into the picture, they fixed everything, notifying the gate agent, taking me thru TSA, Even the FA was updated that if there is a bin space problem, they have to fix it...
I glad i took Delta on this flight, they didnt failed me.
