Hey guys,
I'm sure this has been asked before and after some Googling I found some vague answers to this question but nothing definitive. Can't find the answer on Deltas FAQ site either.
I will be sending my wife and 10yr old son on a trip in a month, I can't go because of work. My son has no FF # but my wife does. In any case I will be buying the tickets today and was wondering how (or if) I can get credit for the frequent flyer miles my son would accrue (if he had a FF#)?
I guess the real question is can you earn miles for another person flying if they have no FF# or you simply want to get the miles? I suspect no for an adult (unless the airline doesnt catch it somehow) but was wondering about kids who aren't old enough to have a FF#? It seems silly to have perfectly good miles earned go to waste because a child isn't old enough to have a FF account.
They'll be flying Delta.
Thx for any insight.
