schedule change reroute options

Hi,
Looking for expert advise.
Originally scheduled for:
5/3 DL 1749 SFO-ATL dep 10:40pm arr 6:14am
5/4 DL 764 ATL-MKE dep 8:20am arr 9:33am
5/4 DL 1567 MKE-ATL dep 12:25pm arr 3:31pm
5/4 DL 241 ATL-SFO dep 4:25pm arr 6:51pm

Got the notification:
"With a schedule change, you may miss your connecting flight"
and now as follows

5/3 DL 1749 SFO-ATL dep 10:40pm arr 6:18am
5/4 DL 764 ATL-MKE dep 8:17am arr 9:19am
5/4 DL 1567 MKE-ATL dep 12:25pm arr 3:55pm
5/4 DL 241 ATL-SFO dep 4:26pm arr 6:46pm

Anyone see any possibility of legally rerouting through NYC on this itinerary (and maybe even forcing an overnight in NYC) due to the schedule change
