I recevied two Delta E-Certs, value of $50 each.
One for each of the past two round trips - including yesterday. On neither of these two trips did I initiate a complaint, compliment, or anything feedback oriented. I didn't engage FA's in any meaningful way, didn't call CS, and didn't have a fare that went down.
Yet I have these two new E-certs now in my account.
Yes, I'll use them, so no need for the "If you don't want them" posts.
Yes, I've verified they'll apply to a reservation.
Is there any way to tell why they were issued? (with an eye toward duplication of whatever circumstances are possible.... ;) )
