Real Life $150 vs $200 Change Fee Reports

Bought a domestic ticket on 4.26. Called today (5.1) to change the ticket (the travel date is 5.16 ... my outbound changed ... had to buy a new ticket). Anyway, the agent repriced it and quoted the new fare + a change fee of $200. I told her the new change fee went into effect on 4.30 (she looked it up and said 4.29). She agreed I should be under the old rules .. but couldn't override the change fee so she had to get someone else involved. I was put on hold as the change was made.

So it looks like Delta's computers auto price a domestic change fee at $200 and only a proactive/knowledgeable passenger is going to know to ask for the $150 fee. I doubt the agents are going to offer the $150 change fee even if they know it should apply.

Not good. More money for Delta from unsuspecting passengers.
