Dear FlyerTalkers,
I have 70K SkyMiles that I'd like to use to book award travel for a January vacation for my husband and me. Within that month, our dates and destination could be anything! But as you can see, we don't have a lot of miles.
So, I know I want it to be in January, and I know I'd like it to be at "low" cost in miles, but I don't know the destination.
Is there any ideal browsing interface for my needs?
Last time we did this, I had to think of every imaginable airport and search each airport one by one.
(And not only that, but for each city, I first had to search arbitrary dates, wait for that to compute, then click "View Award Calendar" and wait for that to compute.)
It worked tolerably last time because we actually only had about 5 destinations in the running.
But now we truly want to think about anywhere in the world! (I say anywhere in the world because we'd consider using SkyMiles for one leg of getting us both somewhere high-mile and using my miles on another airline for the return.)
Any tips?
Thanks a million,
kitkatft
