Years ago I got a heavily discounted Business Class ticket to Asia on NW using NW Vacations (or whatever the in house NW vacation division was called at the time.) The "vacation" included a decent rate at a hotel that I would have stayed at with or without the "vacation."
Mu question - is there any edge of any sort to be had by using Delta Vacations? By edge I mean the ability to book an airfare and hotel (that one might otherwise want to stay at) and end up paying less than booking the hotel and air directly? Or, for that matter, I seem to recall that it was possible to book airfare and car rental without hotel.
Or is Delta Vacations just for kettles? (yuck, never used that phrase before, but it seems to get the point across very well in this context.)
