Flew DTW-BOS this morning. While I was waiting at the gate to board, I saw that I was 14 of 14 for 4 (I think) FC seats. The GA scans my boarding pass, and I get the "beep beep." At first I was disappointed, because I thought I had been shuffled out of my exit row window seat and into somewhere else in Y, but then I noticed the slip said "1D." After my first 6-segment MR this weekend, I was pretty excited for a cushy seat and a celebratory PDB. :D They also pulled two other people up from coach to fill seats in FC after boarding.
Does anyone have any ideas? How did I get a BFUG from the very end of the line? Was this just fate's way of saying, "Congratulations on your first mileage run, eturowski?" Or was Delta saying, "We're sorry your laptop fell out of the overhead bin and crashed onto the floor when LAX-DTW landed an hour ago" (because that definitely happened after the dude next to me broke the latch on the bin during boarding by shoving the door shut around his oversized rollaboard). :td:
