Less allowance for international vs. domestic?

Is it true that as a Gold Medallion, I can only check 2 50lb bags for free in Economy on flights from US-Europe?

I can check 2 70lbs bags for free on domestic, but I actually go DOWN in allowance on a flight to Europe?

Is that accurate?

Also, my wife is Silver, I am Gold... and apparently, we get the same treatment for baggage allowance on US-Europe... is that true too? Silvers seem to get 2 50lb. bags too.
