I am on my second flight of the day. I figured, given the recent changes in the SC booze menu, I should try Woodford in the air while I still have the chance, just in case Delta changes the gate catering contract for something a bit cheaper. I am a whiskey girl (JD), so this is not a massive change. The flavor is very complex - it lingers long after the liquor is gone, and it leaves a pleasant vanilla-oaky aftertaste. I don't know if I would drink it often, but at least I got to taste it and see what the fuss is about!
Thank you to all of my fellow FTers, especially ThomasHudson, for clueing me in to the Woodford mystique!
To commemorate the occasion, I wrote a haiku:
Nectar of Woodford,
Classy me, with you in hand.
Think I'll have one more.
