One of my best friends is an Olympic pole vaulter. He had great trouble getting his poles home after the Olympic's this past year, and now he is stranded in Madrid because Delta refused to put his poles on the plane even thought they are listed as an allowed item in their own baggage policy. Shame on Delta. Many of his friends and family tried sending messages to #deltaassist but no luck and now he is stranded in Madrid unable to get back to his family.
