My wife's flight this evening was delayed by three hours because "they had no flight attendants". Unfortunately, that meant she would miss her connection and would not arrive at her final destination until late tomorrow (~17 hours late).
She is flying on an award ticket.
I found a routing with an overnight layover that would get her there about 6 hours earlier. After a fight she was finally placed on these flights (the Delta agent initially claimed she couldn't put her on this route because she was on an award ticket and there were "fare class problems").
I'm, of course, expecting that I'll have to eat the hotel charges, but is my wife entitled to any compensation from Delta?
