For an upcoming flight to Munich, booked with SkyMiles (low level, 100,000 award), I was flying JFK CDG MUC.
I usually don't plan trips this far ahead but I had hoped that, by the time August rolled around, the JFK-CDG flight would have lie-flat beds.
My departure time had changed from 20:50 to 18:15 and I hate leaving JFK during its "rush hour." In addition, I wasn't thrilled about transiting through CDG.
Last night I called and a Chisholm agent tried to move me onto the JFK AMS flight connecting to a CityHopper to Munich but she couldn't find any SkyMiles availability. She suggested trying back today.
I called back and, lo and behold, the very nice agent in Cincinnnati was able to book this for me.
This will be my first TATL with the Westin Heavenly Inflight Bedding (I have only experienced it on transcons so far) so it will be nice to have a lie-flat bed instead of a recliner to go along with it.
In both cases, the agents were exceptionally polite and helpful and the Chisholm agent seemed to take it personally that she couldn't reroute me the way she wanted to.
