Well, after many, many years of too much flying on NWA & Delta, I've finally called it quits. Since retiring in July I thought I might travel enough to get Diamond again, but it looks like I'm going to be almost exactly 10K short in MQMs (and way short in segments, to my delight...).
My question, does anyone have advice on how to find the cheapest weekend trip for 10K MQMs, probably the 2nd or 3rd weekend in December? Would like to spend a long weekend somewhere with my wife, rather than just do a mileage run.
As a related but separate question, if you buy 1st class do you get bonus MQMs for the 1-class segment on a regional jet (like TVC-DTW) or only when you actually sit in first?
