On my flight home over the weekend, the FA came on the PA midflight to make her usual Amex pitch. I happened to be watching the OH movie for once and so I actually (had to) listen, and was intrigued to hear that on our flight, we had a "very special offer for the first time ever" of 30k SM to sign up for the Gold DL Amex. Every flight I've been on before has been the standard 25k, so hearing 30k was new to me. She continued with the usual nonsense about only needing 25k for a free flight.
Anyone else heard the 30k offer on their flights? I'd be curious to hear if DL is bumping their inflight offer up across the board, or if this really was targeted, or what. And every time I see someone taking the app, I have to resist the urge to tell them they can almost always get a better bonus online... :rolleyes:
