I am a Delta Gold flyer and had a flight from SJC-PDX cancelled today. The flight is an Alaska Air flight booked through Delta. I now have to depart out of SFO in order to get to PDX.
I asked the Delta rep if there is any compensation (miles, etc.) and she said that if it was a Delta flight then they could do something, but since it was Alaska she can't help me.
I talked to the Alaska rep and he said that since I booked it through Delta (and am not an Alaska frequent flyer) then there was nothing he could give me.
Any thoughts on what I could ask for? Note - this is a cancellation due to the airline's problem, not weather, etc. related.
Thanks
