I have been a LONG time user of America miles but recently switched to get some Delta miles for certain trips.
I have a really hard time grasping how the Delta miles work. SEems easy from the chart - example - low season ticke to Europe is 30K miles. (not sure if that is ONE or roundtrip). Must be ONE WAY.
So I did an example - just to learn it.
DFW to ZRH - June 14th - return June 20th (both low)
Some tickets are coming up at 60K and some at 72,5K
How does Delta figure out the extra mileage? I am assuming it is for a better flight from what I saw.
Also it is my understanding that Delta still does not offer one way tickets.
I know American just has different levels like Economy MIle Saaver 30K and then Economy anytime which is 60K so it is a standard jump.
