I've seen a few members on here mention that they've been able to give DL employees JWD Certificates when DL employees have gone "Above and Beyond" or performed exceptionally well in a given situation. Am I reading that correctly or is JWD some unofficial term? And if these JWD certs are official, are these something only handed out to certain individuals (such as DMs) to then pass on to DL employees or I am missing something?
Reason I ask is I was recently on a flight to LAX where I would have given one out to one of the F/As. I did write to DL after my flight to compliment the F/A for how she handled a situation but all I could give was the date, route, and flight number. I didn't get a chance to get her name, but looking back, if I would have had a JWD certificate to hand out, I would have passed one to her.
