i have around 300K delta skymiles and planning trip to australia/newzealand in dec 2014. for this trip, i need additional 150K skymiles, and wanted to find out the best possible ways to get it. btw, i need 3 tickets, and was planning to book tickets in business/first, if possible, so shooting for total of 450K miles.
following are the options i am thinking of:
-have amex mr 70K (would rather use for hilton bookings, consider it un-usable)
-can deposit 100K to fidelity to get 50K
i already have delta skymiles gold card, amex prg and amex platinum and was thinking of canceling this and applying for delta platinum or reserve card, or can apply gold on spouse's name.
what all other options exist, and any help is highly appreciated.
