Minimum Connection Time (MCT) for MR and REBOOKING

Hi All,

I'm looking to book a MR (as a RT). Right now, I can book a flight on DL.com where I arrive at my destination with only 27 minutes to connect to my return flight back home. Because my connection time is under 30 minutes, can I call DL and have them re-book me on a legal connection? Does MCT apply to same-day turnarounds where I'm only in the airport for only a few minutes...errrr, meeting with my colleagues and getting a million dollar contract signed? ;)
